Donald B. Davis, Jr. is a member of Funk & Bolton, P.A., in the firm's Baltimore office. Mr. Davis's practice focuses on counseling insurers on regulatory, transactional, coverage and business matters.

With over twenty years of experience providing legal advice on insurance matters, Mr. Davis's practice experience reflects a blend of corporate and private practice representations including positions as general counsel to National Interstate Corp. (Nasdaq:NATL), Meritain Health, Inc., and Performax, Inc., as well as group general counsel to The St. Paul Companies Global Specialty Underwriting and group counsel to USF&G’s Claims Legal National Coverage Program. Mr. Davis also is a former partner of Saul Ewing, LLP where he was a member of the insurance and financial institutions practice group. He began his career as a trial lawyer with Lord & Whip, P.A.

During his career, Mr. Davis has worked on insurance related restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, multi-state licensing projects, state market conduct exams, audits by the U.S. Department of Labor, insurance product development and approvals, captive and self-insurance arrangements, insurance coverage disputes and litigation management, and the representation of insurance carriers and brokers in civil and administrative litigation.
