Maribel Roig

Ms. Roig joined Funk & Bolton in 2007 and is currently an associate in the firm's commercial litigation practice group. She assists corporate clients in a broad range of matters, including first-party insurance litigation concerning allegations of breach of contract, fraud, and claim disputes. Ms. Roig is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Law, where she was a leadership scholar and associate editor of the Journal of Health Care Law and Policy.
Prior to starting her legal career, Ms. Roig pursued a Ph.D. in literature and critical theory, and held a teaching position at Harvard University. Ms. Roig specialized in Latin American literature and history, and has published and lectured extensively in those fields. Ms. Roig is a summa cum laude graduate of Princeton University and a former Fulbright Scholar.
Ms. Roig is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese and proficient in Italian.
