Tiffany Hanna Anderson is a member of Funk & Bolton, P.A., resident in the firm's Largo office for the majority of the year and in the firm's Annapolis office when the Maryland General Assembly is in session. Mrs. Anderson is a member of the firm's Executive Committee and heads the firm's Diversity Committee. Her areas of concentration are local government law, litigation, government relations and land use and zoning.
Since 2002, Mrs. Anderson has served as the legislative counsel to the County Executive of Prince George's County, Maryland, for matters before the Maryland General Assembly on issues that impact the County. She is currently the Legislative Director for the County. She works directly with members of Maryland's Big 7, the Maryland General Assembly's Presiding Officers, MACo and NACo, and the elected officials within Prince George's County's 27 municipalities, on behalf of the County Executive. She also serves as the Town Attorney for Eagle Harbor and actively works with other municipalities. Additionally, Mrs. Anderson handles civil litigation matters on behalf of counties and municipalities.
Prior to attending law school, Mrs. Anderson worked on Capitol Hill for a Member of Congress as a legislative assistant, and on the House Armed Services Committee as a committee staffer.
From 1997 to 1998, Mrs. Anderson was an associate with Gabriel J. Christian and Associates, where her focus was general civil and criminal litigation.
From 1998 to 2002, Mrs. Anderson served as an Assistant State's Attorney for Prince George's County. During her four and a half years there, Mrs. Anderson successfully prosecuted and secured convictions in numerous misdemeanor and felony cases, including convictions in several homicide cases.
Mrs. Anderson is active with the Maryland State Bar Association, the Women's Bar Association of Maryland, the Prince George's County Bar Association and the J. Franklyn Bourne Bar Association. Mrs. Anderson is also a volunteer with the District Court of Maryland Alternative Dispute Resolution program in Prince George's County, as well as with the Maryland State Bar Association's High School Mock Trial Competition Program within Prince George's County. She sits on the Legislative Committee for the Prince George's Chamber of Commerce and is a member of Leadership Prince George's (Class of 2004) and Leadership Greater Washington (Class of 2008).
